  The Liquid Lounge defined an era for me—I was 21/22 at the time and discovered House Music here, danced my ass off, met many wonderful friends, a couple of girlfriends and had many, many wild experiences. I remember this place closing one winter night during the regular hours and the owners allowing all of the regulars to stay in the back room until sunrise the next day. This was THE ONLY place in the QCs that had progressive music, a progressive crowd and represented the NY style loft/private party atmosphere. No shitty pop dance music here. The last time I tipped a drink there was on NYE 2001/2002 and I believe this place closed that winter of 2002 or the spring. I moved out of the area in late 2001 but have been back many times and I can honestly say no place before or since has come close to matching this sort of unique experience. The married couple that owned this place definitely knew what they were doing when they conceived and opened the ‘lounge. There has been a void for almost 10 years as the QCs are a town where sports bars also double as “night clubs”. LL—you are gone but definitely not forgotten. PLUR.
