Farraday's Restaurant

I attended a birthday party at Farraday's recently. This was my
second visit to the restaurant located inside the Isle Casino in
Bettendorf. Once, I attended a conference in one of the Isle's
conference/banquet halls where lunch was catered by Farraday's and I was
impressed by the quality of the food, especially the desserts at that
time. I had also attended a company party a few years ago and we were
in the same private room again this time, so I haven't actually eaten in
the dining area. I did manage to peek into the general restaurant to
take a picture.

Ricardo ordered the ribeye and I wasn't very hungry so I
thought I would order the Salmon Club sandwich rather than the Atlantic
Salmon entree. Ricardo enjoyed the ribeye, asparagus and yukon gold
shallot mash.

I was surprised by the size of my “sandwich”. It was a
generous grilled Atlantic salmon fillet, applewood-smoked bacon, red
onion, and mixed greens, served with lemon basil aioli over rustic wheat
bread. It was delightful, but the fish was a tad more salted than I
would have prefered. I ordered onion rings as my side and they were
huge and beautiful. As a matter of fact, they obscured the sandwich in
my photo.

I was surprised by the lower prices and the variety on the
menu on my visit. I recommend Farraday's for those looking for an
affordable, yet upscale dining experience.
