The Operahouse has been providing entertainment to DeWitt and surrounding communities continuously since 1874. Our newest renovation made the entire facility accessible to everyone. Your wheelchair is just as welcome as you are. We can seat you in your chair comfortably in the auditorium. You won't be stuck in the front row or the back row or the middle of the aisle.

Besides our reasonably-priced tickets, we offer reasonably-priced popcorn, candy, and Coke products, as well as fruit juices.

Once you're in the door, you'll be overwhelmed by the delicious aroma of freshly-popped popcorn.

Next, you'll notice our First Central Art Gallery. Exhibits change about every six weeks and feature area artists. We have a permanent display of John Bloom reproductions; John is a native son and we are quite proud of him.

Most of the time we show movies, but occasionally we host plays and concerts. It's always a good idea to check our website or call our toll-free number 1-800-962-7819 to see what's playing at the Operahouse. Our movies are first and second run movies; we often play the same movies that are currently playing at the more expensive cinemas.

We think theater parties are a great way to celebrate birthdays. For an additional 50 cents per person, you can sit in the balcony with your complimentary pop and popcorn. And the honoree gets to start the movie! Call ahead of time to reserve your spot.
